Hull FC made it back-to-back wins to start the First Utility Super League season as they ran in seven tries to beat Catalans Dragons 38-10.
The first of Fetuli Talanoa's two tries and Sika Manu's powerful surge to the line were both cancelled out by Pat Richards touching down, while the Catalans winger also added a goal to level the game at 10-10.
Hull surged ahead as Josh Bowden's second try of the campaign was followed by Jack Logan crossing the whitewash, and Marc Sneyd's second and third goal of the contest made it 22-10 at the break.
A one-sided second period followed. Despite being a man short due to Leon Pryce's yellow card, Hull added 10 points as Gareth Ellis grabbed a try on his return from a lengthy injury absence and Sneyd kicked another two goals.
Talanoa's second try made it 34-10 before the winger's break led to Jamie Shaul crossing for try number seven as Hull wrapped up their first win in France since 2010.
Hull coach Lee Radford was thrilled with the display from his players.
He said: “I’m really pleased. Individually I thought the team were top drawer; collectively I thought we were really tough. I said before the game that I thought that was the strongest bench I’ve ever had at my disposal and I thought it showed when I made the interchanges that we didn’t lose any momentum and we managed to maintain our level of physicality that we’d started with.
“We’re really happy to be where we are at the moment. We’re not going to be getting carried away with ourselves after two games. We highlighted how tough it was going to be and how tough we needed to be and I’m really pleased with our performance today."
Catalans coach Laurent Frayssinous criticised his side after a second defeat from as many games this season.
He said: "I am extremely disappointed. We cannot be happy with that performance. Too many players did not do their job today and that is unacceptable.
“We were soft all around the park today and Hull FC were better than us in every area of the game.
"My job is to fix the problem and make sure that the problems have been fixed for the next game.”
